There are a lot of young women who are overlooked coming out of college when it comes to basketball. Being able to get a second chance to show people who I am and what I can do on the court is a blessing. At this camp, I experienced the chance to meet new people, talk to scouts and players from overseas, as well as a "down to earth" trainer who is involved in training players in the WNBA/NBA leagues. The camp was on time and had everyone doing something all the time. My overall experience was fantastic and it led up to me getting a contract to Germany. If I had to, I would attend this camp again.

I signed with a team in Geneva, Switzerland. I am extremely happy that I went to the Showcase. I found it to be very helpful and I really enjoyed the whole experience. I would seriously recommend going to the Showcase to anyone considering playing overseas; it will be well worth your time and possibly a very good chance that it will benefit your future.

I signed a professional contract to play basketball in England. Well I am a firm believer in everything happening for a reason. Last year things didn't work out with me going to a team, but a former teammate is now the new head coach of the team that I would have been playing for last year. She didn't want anybody but me to be her PG! I said wow! Look at God work! He knew he was going to elevate somebody in my favor to a position of authority... The previous coach had already signed an American player so they passed a law in England allowing two American players on each team making me the second which is great 'cause now I get to go live my dream but bad because they hadn't budgeted for another player. So my city Gastonia, NC got a whiff of it and I got a call from one of the county commissioners and she said that they wanted to honor me by naming September 29, 2007 'Nicole Woods Day' (which) helped me put together this big fundraiser in hopes that (it would) help me with...funding.

I received a phone call from Temekia Moses. She asked me, "Are you still interested in pursuing a basketball career overseas?" I hesitated and reluctantly said, "Yes" because she was telling me information about her Women's Basketball Showcase. I was skeptical about it because I had already had a bad experience with a showcase, so I vowed to never attend one again until I continued to speak to Temekia about my negative experience. She was very professional and informative. She told me someone I knew referred me to her. She told me about the showcase, e-mailed the website, and stayed in contact for the next several days. I decided to do the showcase because the amount of support, enthusiasm, and positive outlook she had in helping women (who are) interested in continuing their basketball career. It was the best decision I ever made! The showcase was highly organized, the coaches were experienced and supportive, and it was very competitive. I also had the pleasure of meeting great players and people that participated in the showcase. The showcase represented everything Temekia is as a person; professional, fun, punctual, obliging, and authentically a great person. I recommend any woman wanting to further their career to participate in this showcase. It ultimately was worth my time. …I had a positive experience at the showcase and hope it continues to grow.
