Shawn Farmer
Shawn is a native of Greenville, NC. He began competing on the collegiate level at Lenoir Community College in Kinston, NC. After a standout career at LCC, he transferred to Averett University in Danville,VA. Upon graduation from Averett in 1994, Shawn began his professional basketball career in Europe. He competed in Belgium, Holland, Bulgaria, Macedonia, and Poland. Shawn also played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After hanging up his shoes, Shawn held on to his passion and became the founder of Prepare for the Moment Training System, a system designed to build stamina and endurance. The program concentrates on footwork, discipline, and fundamentals. Shawn has a no-nonsense, focused and passionate approach to the game. His goal is to build basketball players into professionals and competive champions. According to Edgar Farmer, Jr. (no relation), Women's Basketball Coach at Wofford College, "When Shawn's name comes up, I get goose bumps. To see him in action, whether it be scouting or working kids out, is so powerful." The Women's Basketball Showcase will be just another opportunity for Shawn to motivate players to achieve their full potential.

Joe 'Jellybean' Bryant
Born in Philadelphia, PA and a La Salle graduate, Bryant was drafted by the NBA's Golden State Warriors as the 14th overall pick in 1975. After a notable 8 year career in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76ers, San Diego Clippers and the Houston Rockets, Bryant moved to Rieti, Italy where he played during the 80's. Bryant's coaching experience began in 2003 when he was named the Head Coach of The Diabols, a Slamball team. He has also been the Head Coach of two American Basketball Association (ABA) teams, the Las Vegas Rattlers and the Boston Frenzy. Bryant was hired as an Assistant Coach for the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA in 2005 and then took over when Head Coach Henry Bibby resigned before the end of the season. Bryant led the Sparks to a 25-9 record, a trip to the conference finals and led his team to a 29-10 overall record. Bryant was replaced in 2007 by former Los Angeles Sparks Head Coach Michael Cooper. Afterwards, Bryant continued coaching the Tokyo Apache of the Japanese BJ league, his job during the WNBA offseason. In July 2009, Bryant became Head Coach of the Italian team Solsonica Rieti with whom he played early in his European professional career.
Bryant and his wife, Pamela, are the parents of Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant.
