Preparations for USA Elite's 2010 European tour is in progress. Please refer back to the website in August for the finalized itinerary. Opponents will be teams of comparable skill level and/or experience.
Participants of the Showcase are automatically eligible for consideration. Showcase staff will assist in the determination of the team members. If you are selected for the team, you will be responsible for the cost of the tour (unless USA Elite is sponsored by an individual or organization). The cost will be approximately $1700 - $1900 (paid in scheduled installments) for the 9-day tour. This price includes standard accomodations, current airfare, daily breakfasts (tentative), most post-game meals, tourist taxes, tour fees, airport transfer (in Europe), etc. This does not include travel to departure airport (Raleigh or Charlotte, NC), airport transfers prior to our departure, any cost for tourist attractions, personal spending money, excluded daily meals, etc.
It is possible that members of the team will be acquired by a European team while on tour. This could mean you will remain in Europe after the tour. Please make all necessary arrangements prior to the team's departure. It is suggested that you begin your financial planning now if you feel you may be selected for the team.
Participants will be required to make their own arrangements to the departure airport. The team will travel together to/from Europe.

What an awesome experience USA Elite had in Hungary during the team's tour September 14-24, 2008. After losing a day of the tour due to airplane changes and re-bookings, the team arrived in Budapest exhausted and cold. The temperature difference was apparent as we exited Budapest's Ferihegy Airport to board vans waiting to transport the team to the hotel.
After only one practice the very next morning at 6:00 a.m., Team USA Elite participated in a whirlwind of games over the next 8 days. The team placed third in a tournament in Bonyhad, a few hours' ride from Budapest. Gennifer Bridges received the Top Scorer Award of the tournament. Many other players captured the eye of scouts and agents while there as well. What an accomplishment for USA Elite to compete against professional teams and find success!

USA ELITE Takes Europe By Storm - October 2007
USA Elite traveled to Vienna, Austria on September 10, 2007 to begin its 10-day tour of Europe. The 12-member team transferred to Sopron, Hungary which was home base as USA Elite traveled to/competed against teams in Gyor, Cegled, and Budapest in Hungary and to Nitra, Slovakia. USA Elite also competed against the team in Sopron. By tour's end, 50% of the team members were either asked to tryout for a team or were asked to be represented by an agent. One player was already represented by an agent prior to the tour. What a great experience for all participants and coaches! Thanks to all our opponents who helped to make the tour a memorable one.
